The movement, rhythm, instruments and "color" of the music opens a portal to an unexplored world - through the looking glass. Her work is also influenced by the abstract movement of the fifties, by artists such as Willem de Kooning, Franz Kline and the early work of Renata Bernal. The synchronicity of the time period of the early jazz movement along with the modern abstract movement is a powerful inspiration in Jane's work.
